We’ve owned our Zoe Luxe Double Stroller for nearly two years now and I’ve been asked to share more of my thoughts since I purchased it, so today is the day! Finally sharing our full review on the Zoe Luxe Double Stroller!
*Before we get started I need to point out that the Zoe Luxe Double Stroller is currently out of stock in my favorite shade – pink. However, it will be restocked this summer and you can sign up for restock notifications now!
Before having babies I thought my favorite mom accessory would be a quality diaper bag BUT it has surprisingly been my stroller. We purchased the Zoe Double Luxe shortly after having our second baby. I wore Millie in my Solly baby wrap prior to this purchase so we weren’t concerned about finding a double stroller with a carseat/carrier attachment option. Instead, we knew we wanted to invest in a side-by-side double that would stick with us until the girls were past stroller days.
As all mama’s do when they’re about to add a baby to the family, I researched for months. Did I want a tandem stroller or a side-by-side?! What was important to me?! How would I use the stroller every day? So many factors to consider.
Here’s the “must have” list:
- Side by side instead of tandem. I had several friends warn me that tandem strollers weren’t as easy to push. I’m not the strongest so I definitely took that piece of advice into consideration. Typically people living in big cities purchase tandem strollers so they can maneuver tight spaces and doorways easily. Thankfully the Zoe Double Luxe is ADA approved so even as a side-by-side stroller, you can fit it through doorways without collapsing! The more I thought about it, the more I loved the idea of the girls sitting side-by-side becoming bestfriends. Yes, that means more fights over snacks and toys BUT it’s also a sweet way to foster their friendship!
- Lightweight. I have the girls by myself most of the time and we travel quite a bit so being able to load and unload the stroller solo (sometimes with one arm) was a huge priority. The Zoe Double Luxe weighs LESS than our Nuna single stroller did! The folding mechanism is super easy as well so after a few practice folds, you’ll feel like a pro!
- Quality. I didn’t mind spending a bit more for quality because we use our stroller every day! Happy to report that we got quality without the high price tag. From daily walks to the beach, to twice daily post-partum “sanity walks” as I jokingly referred to them, walks to preschool, and Disney trips – we quickly broke the stroller in and it has held up SO WELL. At some point in the first year, one of the wheels stopped working but Zoe graciously sent over another one to snap on. Did I mention that they have great customer service?!
- Cute. This wasn’t an actual requirement but it was definitely one of the reasons I kept coming back to the Zoe! I adore our pink stroller and the leather handles + sleek design are definitely a plus!
- Storage. The basket on the bottom of our Zoe is the perfect size for Disney days because I can easily tuck a cooler bag, backpack or shopping bag underneath. I typically leave our stroller rain cover underneath at all times and it folds up just fine. I also use a mommy hook to attach bags I need easy access to! Our stroller came with a cup holder and 2 iphone storage pockets that are large enough to tuck small items into. We ended up purchasing the stroller caddy as well for even more storage for Disney days!
Q & A
How do you keep the fabric clean? Love the pink but I am worried about stains!
Great question! I was a bit curious about this myself. I believe it’s a performance fabric because it’s pretty hard to stain! When it does get dirty, I just rinse, spot treat or use a bit of folex! So don’t let that concern steer you away from your favorite color!
Is it easy to fold up? Can you share a video?
Yes! SO EASY. Zoe sent over one of their single strollers for my Disney trip with AG next week so I’ll share a video while we’re there and try to snap one of our double stroller too.
Want to buy just for our Disney trip! Is this really the best stroller for Disney?
I think so! I’ve only used two brands at Disney and my Zoe is by far the favorite. The tires are big enough to glide over the train tracks (tough job!) and it’s easy to maneuver. Folds quickly when we have to hop on transportation like the bus. And of course
Does it fit on the Disney skyliner? Monorail?
Disney does not allow double strollers to remain open on the Skyliner so you’ll have to fold it up to ride. If you have a single stroller you can leave it open! Our Zoe Double fits great on the monorail and water taxi! ๐
Do your girls nap in it at Disney? Wondering if the cover makes it dark enough for naps.
AG doesn’t nap in the stroller much anymore but Millie still will! The covers come down really far but won’t make it completely dark so you may want to bring a towel or blanket with you!
Do you like the handlebar height? How tall are you?
I’m 5’4 and I think it’s a comfortable height!
Can you share more about the cupholders? I’m all about cupholders!
The stroller comes with one parent cup holder that you can clip on and off!
Do you run or jog with it? How does it do on grass and dirt?
I’m more of a walker. You might prefer this one if you’re using more for jogging and running!
Did you also research the mockingbird stroller? How do they compare?
The mockingbird never came up in my stroller research so I’m no help here!
Do they have a standing board attachment for older kids?
I don’t think so but you can add an entire seat! One of the selling points for this stroller was that it’s expandable. So if we add another kiddo to our family, we can purchase a third seat to pop on the front. Crazy cool!
The Zoe Double Luxe has the mf stamp of approval! I’m truly such a fan. Thrilled to try out the single stroller while we’re at Disney next week! Follow along on Instagram to see more! ๐
