Let’s talk clean beauty. I’m too excited about this and just couldn’t wait any longer to share the details with you! I have a lot to say so grab something yummy to drink and pull up a seat!
Soon after Pearce and I tied the knot we were invited to an essential oils party one of our friends was hosting. Out of support for the friend and a little curiosity we ventured across town for a night that we had no idea would change our lives forever. Sounds dramatic, I know but it honestly did! After that night we started on a quest to find the healthiest products, food, and remedies for our family. Fast forward three years and it’s finally time to ditch my dangerous beauty products. Why on earth did it take so long? I couldn’t find THE brand. The struggle was real and for some wild reason, no one had introduced me to Beautycounter! Praise the Lord because I can finally say I’ve found it. At age 23 I’m so thankful to have found a beauty brand committed to safety.
Did you know… 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
Did you know… 1 in 3 children are born with either asthma, life threatening allergies, autism, or ADHD.
Did you know… 60% of what we put on our skin is absorbed into our blood stream.
Did you know… 2 decades ago 1 in 20 women were diagnosed with breast cancer. Today 1 in 7 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. The vast majority of these women have no genetic link to disease or preexisting genetic link to disease.

These facts are scary. I know. They scared me too. They even convicted me! Why wasn’t I more aware of what I was doing to my body by using beauty products filled with chemicals?! Thankfully I’m still young. Thankfully I have a clean bill of health. But honestly, so many women (like myself just a couple years ago!) don’t have a clue what their products could potentially harm them. It almost feels as if we’ve been tricked! The good thing is that now we know. There’s a solution for our problem.
I’ve switched my shampoos, body lotions, makeup, and skincare products thanks to Beautycounter and I feel like a new woman. I find so much peace in knowing that my beauty products aren’t linked to ADHD, infertility, allergies, cancer, or asthma. Not just for me, but for our future kiddos. Companies selling products linked to developmental issues (looking at you, Chanel, Clinique, and Benefit!) are no longer acceptable in my book. The foundation that I absolutely adore is currently in the trash. I’m rethinking it all. I’m researching everything. I’m SO not okay with products I use every single day causing my family harm.
There is a saving grace.
Like I said earlier, there’s a solution to the problem. Nontoxic personal care products are out there. After years of research and a ton of products that were marketed as safe but didn’t actually work, Beautycounter was my answer. The company has a mission of getting safe products into the hands of everyone. Not only do their products rock, but they have a ton of easy to access information on their website about toxic products and why they’re dangerous. Fun fact, Beautycounter isn’t a natural/organic beauty company. I’ve tried bunch of those and have only been impressed with a few organic/natural products. Products that don’t work (take 100% natural deodorant for example, #notmybestmoment) but are still safe, are incredibly frustrating. I need both safe and FABULOUS products. Is that too much to ask for?! Shouldn’t be. Beautycounter products aren’t all natural, but they are SAFE. Beautycounter has the strictest ingredient selection process in the industry, banning over 1,500 chemicals, while ensuring their products perform well. The Beautycounter team won’t release a product unless they absolutely love it! That I appreciate. We no longer have to be exposed to environmental toxins in our products, every single day.
