The Mr. and I had a fabulous weekend together.
On Friday after work we went out for a good ole’ fashioned date night. I could eat tacos all day everyday (and Pearce so kindly obliges, see above ^^^). We managed to get a table at Bartaco in Hyde Park. It’s one of my all time faves and if you’ve ever been, you know why. The Duck and Mahi are my go-to tacos. Their sangria and margaritas are pretty darn delicious as well. And you’ll want to grab a key lime pie, they’re served in mason jars!! They have locations in Tampa, Atlanta, and Nashville and you can read more here.
After dinner we walked over to Anthropologie so I could try on a few things for upcoming weddings and bridal showers. I’m not usually a huge Anthro fan but I found quite a few pretty pieces while browsing the store and even added a few to my spring + summer shopping list.
Lemon Lace Shift // Eyelet Jumpsuit // Phone Case
Later that night I realized I had never seen all of Gone With The Wind so we watched it. All 3 hours and 53 minutes of it. I was an emotional mess and Pearce lost interest after intermission. That Scarlett is much sassier than I remember. So good though! If y’all haven’t seen it in a while it’s definitely worth re-watching. You can rent on Amazon Prime!
On Saturday we did a little shopping and indulged in our favorite food court junk foods. When we move back home we won’t have a mall nearby so we’re enjoying that as much as possible!
Pearce is leaving for a mission trip to Peru next Wednesday so we’ve been busy prepping for that, emotionally and logistically. He’ll be gone for eight days. I’m heading back home to distract myself with family, friends, and a little trip to Savannah. Thank God for WiFi and Skype!!! I have so much respect for military wives and those whose husbands travel often. We’ve never been away from each other for that long so it’ll be bittersweet. Who knows, it might be fun to miss him a bit. Absence makes he heart grow fonder, right?!
Sat. night we joined our friends for a night of prayer at church. It was all kinds of refreshing. We’re going to miss our church family so much when we move. Thankfully we’ll only be about 4 hours away, so we can still visit.
Sunday morning one of my sweetest friends came over to catch up and we played around with her wedding invitation/save-the-date designs. I love designing wedding suites for my girls! That afternoon I caught up on my cheesy fiction reading. Currently enjoying True Believer by Mr. Nicholas Sparks. I can’t believe I’m admitting this, but I’ve almost finished reading all of his books… Anyone else guilty of this crime? Speaking of books, Emily launched pre-orders for her book, Grace Not Perfection today! I can’t wait for everyone to read it. It’s so, SO good. Be sure to have a big box of tissues nearby when you dive in.
Thats all for now folks. What were you gals up to this weekend?
