This weekend went by way too quick! I feel like we spent most of it moving/cleaning but we still managed to squeeze in some down time. Our church moved into a bigger building (YAY!) so we helped with the transition on Saturday and Sunday. We also packed up another load of furniture to move up to Fernandina.
We decided to sell most of our large pieces and skip the moving truck this time around. So, little by little we’ve been taking a car full of belongings with us each time we go home for a visit. Which means…. we’ll be buying furniture to replace what we’ve sold as well as decor to furnish the new place. Next on my shopping list? Lighting!!!!! I’m currently looking for a pretty fixture for our dining room. I have my heart set on the one pictured above, it’ll bring so much warmth into our mostly white space. It’s from a home decor boutique on St.Simons Island so I’m a little nervous it won’t be there when I return to buy it. Eek!
Friday I stopped by Pearce’s school to have a quick lunch with him. His classroom is so sad looking! I kept saying I’d go help decorate but never got around to it. Next year (if he ends up teaching again) we’ll surely do better job! I’ve already started a Pinterest board! #Addict
Saturday we tried out a local coffee joint that’s also a furniture shop, for breakfast. It was the cutest! And the coffee/tea was delicious. If you’re in the Tampa/Wesley Chapel area, be sure to check out Degaje.
We went out on a mission to find beach balls for the kids in Peru as well as a hat for Pearce to wear that he doesn’t mind getting ruined/squished up in his suitcase. The hat-hunting was unsuccessful but we managed to find a few inflatable beach balls! One of the focuses of his trip will be lovin’ on the kids and families in the slums of Lima, Peru. I know it’ll be a trip to remember and he and his team will have a huge impact on the people there. God is so good!
And of course… we ate really well this weekend. Mexican, New York Style Pizza, and DONUTS. So… I decided to go for an extra long jog to work off a bit of that and stumbled upon this. Pretty darn encouraging, right?!
What were y’all up to this weekend?
