builtin deets: pearce built these using living with landyn’s ikea hack as inspo, we painted them bm chantilly lace, and you can find similar lights here!
Some women go to nail salons to unwind. I go to thrift or antique stores. I’m very thankful to live on an island where thrift and antique stores are everywhere! I live for the hunt. I could spend a full day meandering yard sales, thrift stores, antique shops. I call it treasure hunting. ๐

Many of my favorite things in our home were thrift store finds! So today I thought I’d share some of the things I look out for when shopping!
- hardcover books that are pretty under the dust jacket (I remove the dust jackets) this is such a good way to fill bookshelves without spending $$$
- art. often you’ll need to swap out the frame but this is such a fun way to add unique pieces to your home
- table linens in fun fabrics anything bamboo – furniture, frames, vases, etc!
- blue and white. obviously I’m a sucker for anything and everything blue and white!
- vintage children’s clothes, books, & knick knacks!
- lamps – my favorite pink lamp was a $5 thrift store find! often times you can find great bases that just need a coat of paint, a new finnial or a new shade!
- dishes and pretty glassware
- decorative accents like corals, knots, seashells
- silver frames, cups, trays, and old silver trophies
- right now I’m interested in all of the 80’s rattan pieces floating around
- toys – this is usually a miss because the toys aren’t always in great shape but it’s fun to let alba grace pick something out, especially when it’s $0.50!
