Let me preface this post by sharing that we don’t live near a Trader Joe’s – it takes us about an hour to get to the nearest one. So when we do get to hit up TJ’s it’s a big treat. We love wandering the aisles, picking up fresh flowers and sampling new foods. I adore the store for four main reasons. 1. Everything is very well priced. 2. The product packaging is cute and as someone who is a sucker for good branding, I appreciate this. 3. The store is not too big and isn’t overwhelming. I typically HATE going to the grocery store for this reason. TOO MANY CHOICES. At TJ’s, there is one brand of peanut butter, so that is what you buy. 4. They’re doing things right. By that I mean, it’s well decorated, the store employees are kind, and the playlist is always on point. As a result, I feel like everyone shopping is friendlier! For my fellow grocery store haters, consider giving TJ’s a chance!
I’m super nosy and love reading the “grocery haul” posts some of my fave bloggers have written. So I thought I’d join in on the fun by sharing my favorites. Originally this post had like 20 items but to save you some time I scaled it down to my top ten! You’re welcome. ๐
Everything But The Bagel Seasoning
This stuff is the jam! I bought it to put on my avocado after seeing so many blog friends raving about it! I don’t even like everything bagels but this seasoning was a wonderful addition to my spice drawer!
Riced Cauliflower
Since starting FWTFL I’ve had to cut back on carbs most days, this Cauliflower rice has been a much healthier alternative! I “fry” it on the stove and usually serve under stuffed peppers or alongside Mexican dishes! They also make a stir fry version that I can’t wait to try.
Uncured Apple Smoked Bacon
This is the best nitrate-free bacon deal I’ve found. And it’s delicious. I’m no bacon aficionado but this stuff is GOOD y’all. Dare I say…. the best bacon I’ve ever had?! My hubby is also a fan, which really says something!
Boatswain Chocolate Stout
This 6 pack is $5.99 and SO good. Anything with chocolate is a winner in my book! If you’re a craft beer fan, the Boatswain IPA and double IPA are also amazing!
Spinach & Artichoke Dip
This is one of those items around the store marked “customer favorite” so of course I had to throw it in my cart! Totally lived up to the hype. Great to keep handy for dinner parties and FWTFL cheat day! ๐
Frozen Enchiladas
Enchiladas are my jam. These frozen chicken enchiladas are under $5 a pop! You can microwave or bake for a super easy weeknight dinner!
Salsa Verde
Salsa Verde is becoming to me what Ketchup is to a five year old boy. I put that stuffff on errrythang! The perfect topping for any Mexican style dish!
Edamame
Great to have handy for snacking or serving to guests!
French Macarons
These are amazing! If you love french macarons, TJ’s sells these for under $5. I’ve also tried most of the holiday flavors and the variety pack. The variety pack is much more colorful which makes it great for parties!
Green Goddess Salad Dressing
At only 20 calories per serving, this is the best green/avocado-y salad dressing for FWTFL and many other diets! I’m 99% sure it’s Whole30 compliant but I don’t want to be held responsible for ruining Whole30 for anyone! So don’t take my word for it! ๐
