The countdown is on y’all! The Fourth of July is right around the corner! I can’t wait for all of the festivities to begin. This year I’m whipping up these easy parfaits to serve as a healthy-ish dessert! They’d also make a super simple breakfast for the fam!
I originally whipped these up thinking about how pretty they would look (made them for Catie’s shower a few weeks ago and again for my sister’s graduation party!) and was a bit surprised by how delicious they were!
The key to a pretty parfait spread is consistency! You want to layer each serving in the same exact order. I eyeballed my first few to find the perfect order and then meticulously counted blueberries and strawberries to ensure each one looked identical (because I’m a crazy person!) but you can definitely just eyeball them all to keep it simple!
Here’s what you need:
1 Box Vanilla Walnut Granola Cereal. I went the cereal route instead of the pure granola route because it was less expensive and I liked the variety in taste!
Fresh Fruit. For the patriotic version of these parfaits you’ve got to go with fresh or frozen strawberries and blueberries! You could also substitute the strawberries with raspberries!
Greek Yogurt With Honey. The honey is key! I love Trader Joe’s honey vanilla yogurt but if you can’t find a honey greek yogurt you could always mix plain greek yogurt with honey!
Through trial and error I learned that the perfect order is as follows…
Yogurt, granola, blueberries, yogurt, and then top it off with strawberries! ๐
Serve chilled!
love y’all! mckenzie
