Pearce and I snuck away for a weekend to ourselves! I was a little nervous leaving our baby girl overnight for the first time but we did it and I’m so glad we did. We had the best weekend just the two of us. Felt so good to get away and relax without any of the distractions we have at home. I mean, not changing diapers for three whole days was a big treat! Of course we missed the little lady (sooooo much!) but we realized that we need more weekends like this one!
The Beach Club Charleston was the most perfect getaway destination! It’s about 3.5 hours from our house but feels like a world away. If you do want to visit and bring your kiddos along, they’ll love the resort as well! It was very child friendly! The resort is just a few years old and everything on the property is in pristine condition! The rooms are spacious, everything is beautifully decorated, they’ve thought of absolutely everything when it comes to amenities and the food is yummy. What’s not to love?!
The resort’s location made it a major winner in our book. It’s on the harbor overlooking downtown Charleston! The location lends itself to an amazing view and easy access to everything we love to do in CHS! It’s a quick drive to some of Mount Pleasant’s yummy restaurants and adorable neighborhoods (Old Village is my fave!) and you can hop on the water taxi to head downtown without having to worry about parking or traffic!
We arrived at the Beach Club Friday afternoon. After a quick tour of the property we settled into our room and then went straight to the pool tiki bar! There we enjoyed yummy tacos and the resort’s signature frosé! We also facetimed AG to let her know we were thinking about her! Haha. First time parents at their finest!
Later that afternoon we went up to the room to enjoy the gorgeous harbor view and get ready for dinner. We were so excited to check out the Fish House on property. Let me tell y’all… it did not disappoint! If you’re in the Charleston area or visiting for vacation, be sure to add the Fish House to your list! Overlooking the water we dined on delicious fresh seafood and had the best service. We will definitely be back! There were lots of families dining that night so I think it’s safe to say the restaurant is kid friendly! After dinner we walked over to the Party at the Point concert and had the best time people watching and enjoying the live music!
Saturday we slept in and then spent the morning relaxing! It was such a treat for this mama and daddy. We drove over to the Old Village to explore and swoon over gorgeous homes. I highly recommend grabbing bikes from the Beach Club to explore on! Our weather was a little finicky so we were worried about biking but it would have been a blast!
All in all… the Beach Club Charleston was an amazing spot to stay during our CHS trip! I highly recommend and am so excited to share that if you code MCKENZIE2019 you’ll receive 10% off your stay! Do it, do it! You will not regret!
