As a mama to TWO little girls now, I’m even pickier about which products we use on our precious babies! Having been a part of Beautycounter for three + years now and learning about what goes into making these products safe, I feel good about putting them on the girls!
Safer Products For Babies
There are a million baby products on the market and on store shelves but I haven’t found anything for Millie & AG that I like more than the Beautycounter baby collection. I appreciate that all formulas are specially designed for a baby’s delicate skin—because babies need the very best! 🙂 Also love that the packaging is pretty enough to leave out on the shelf!
Three of my favorite products, the Gentle All-Over Wash, a tear-free body and hair cleanser, Soothing Oil, a quick-absorbing skin nourisher, and Daily Protective Balm, which acts as a layer of protection for sensitive skin can be purchased together in this Baby Bundle!
One thing you’ll notice right away is that unlike other shampoos, the BC baby cleanser doesn’t foam up and get sudsy but it still packs a punch. The best part of the wash is the way it leaves baby skin and hair so soft afterward. Paired with the Soothing Oil baby will be super soft and snuggly after bathtime! The oil absorbs into the skin and dries quickly too so you’re not dealing with a greasy, slippery baby after the bathtime. Anyone else terrified of dropping their wet squirmy baby after bath time?! No? Just me???
The Protective Balm is my favorite because of the many uses! After using it on Alba Grace, I end up taking some for myself to keep my hands from getting too dry. It’s surprisingly fabulous for cuticles and as a gentle make-up remover for mama!
In addition to the bath bundle, Beautycounter also carries a Calming Diaper Rash Cream that you’ll want to stock up on! We keep one in the diaper bag and one in the changing table. The product description reads “happy booties, happy babies” and they’re absolutely right! My girls haven’t had too many diaper rashes (knock on wood!) but when I see redness I lather them up with this stuff and it works like a charm.
Safer Products For Kids
As an ingredient-conscious mom, I love that the Beautycounter Baby & Kids products are free of irritants and hidden, harmful ingredients!!! There are so many products on the market disguised as “safe” for kids but are actually full of endocrine disruptors and other toxins. Yuck.
For older kids and toddlers (we started using these when AG’s hair got longer) BC has a special collection of bath products including a berry-scented Kids Body Wash, along with Nice Do Shampoo and Not a Knot Conditioner, both of which feature an orange-vanilla scent.
We’ve found these products to last a really long time because you only need a couple of drops to get the job done! And to avoid your toddler squirting an entire bottle of the conditioner out into the tub (speaking from experience here!) fill up an empty bottle with water when it runs out so that they can “help”!
I’ve been using the conditioner in my hair too, for almost a year now!
