This year we’re expecting a baby in July (or August!) but we still want to celebrate our sweet Alba Grace with a fun birthday party! Her actual 2nd birthday is on June 5th but we figured waiting until July meant we could celebrate with family and friends and all feel a bit more comfortable with a get together. It’ll still be a small gathering, but a party nonetheless!!! We decided to host the party on the 4th with a red, white and two theme. Because we’ll have just moved into our new house days prior to the party, we’re hosting it at my in-laws home in their big front yard.
With a big move and a baby on the way, the name of the game this year is SIMPLE! Slip n’ slide and kiddie pool in the front yard, hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill and ordering as many of the decorations as possible from amazon or the target dollar spot! ๐

I’m excited that even the food and dessert can easily be picked up premade (how perfect are these cookies!!!) to make hosting even easier. I’ll throw some glass bottle coke and cheerwine in the cooler, fill up these pitchers with strawberry water and lemonade, put out a little hot dog bar and make a few of these fun patriotic recipes!
I LOVE the Fourth of July so I already have a good bit of decor and almost everything from last year’s tablescape, plus tablecloths and display pieces from AG’s first birthday party.
