Fact: having a good podcast on while you do dishes or fold laundry makes the experience much more enjoyable. In fact… I look forward to 15 minutes in the afternoons to retreat to our bedroom, fold a load of laundry and enjoy a podcast. It’s the little things y’all.
Last year before I had baby girl I surveyed my Insta friends and put together a list of y’alls favorite podcasts! I’ve been working through this list and listening to a few new ones… so in case you need a rec, here are my current faves! I haven’t made it all the way down the list but I will keep y’all posted as I do!
When I started hearing about podcasts I honestly didn’t even know how to listen to them. So if you’re anything like me and don’t get it…. all of the podcasts listed below are available on itunes! If you’re an iPhone user you should have the podcast app installed on your phone. You can easily subscribe to your favorites within the app! 🙂
- Behind The Bliss – What’s not to love about Mary Scott & Rachel?! They’re so so sweet and their love for the Lord shines through in everything they share! I love the way they tackle tough topics, the lighthearted everyday content, and following along with two Christian women that are in a similar-ish season of life.
- Coffee & Crumbs – This one was recommended again and again. If you like Risen Motherhood but want something a little more practical and light-hearted, this one is for you! The topics are so relevant if you’re a mama and it feels like you’re having coffee with the hostesses in your living room. Love this one!
- Welcome Home – When I want something funny to listen to I always turn on the Welcome Home Podcast! These girls are gracious hostesses and mamas with so much wisdom to share. They’re also hilarious which is a breath of fresh air! It took me a few months but I think I’m all caught up on every episode of this one!
- Happy Hour – I’m sure you’ve heard of this one! The host interviews amazing women and for an hour they chat about all things work/play/business/fun. Her guests are always incredibly interesting women you’d want to hear from!
- Say It Southern – I discovered this one shortly after it launched and I’ve really enjoyed the guests. They interview Southerners who are makers and shakers, doing big things in the South. It’s a must!
- Simple Families – This one is fascinating. The hostess has a minimalist/simplistic parenting philosophy that I admire. I always get practical nuggets to incorporate into our family routines and rhythms!
- At Home With Sally – Gah. I am Sally’s number one fan. She is the epitome of a Godly mama and wife. I admire her so much and soak up every word she shares. Such a great woman to learn from!
- Work & Play – One of my favorite gals on the internet, Nancy Ray launched a podcast just a few weeks ago and it’s been on point every single episode! I look forward to new episodes every Tuesday!
- Nash Chat – This another new to me podcast, love The Nashville Mom (a sweet lifestyle blogger in Nashville!) and always enjoy her interviews on the Nash Chat.
- Go and Tell Gals – Love me some Jess Connoly. I think if I lived in CHS we could be best friends. She’s wiiiiise beyond her years and always dropping truth bombs. She does a ton of guest interviews and you get to hear her heart a bit as well.
- Cultivate – I’m sure y’all know Lara Casey. She’s such a gem, isn’t she?! I originally started listening to her podcast on a quest to learn everything there is to know about gardening and then I just kept listening!
