I’m not much of a DIY blogger but when I find a hack this good I feel it’s my duty to share. From the moment we first laid eyes on our kitchen, I knew it I wanted cafe curtains! I’ve hemmed curtains before using products like this one (or iron-on versions!) so I thought… why not DIY my cafe curtains using this. DIY’ing this part of the project left more room in the budget for the pretty fabric that I wanted! ๐
Here’s the link to the fabric! It’s pretty dreamy, isn’t it?! I’m obsessed with all of Riley Sheehey’s pretty textiles and the blue + green color combo here was just meant to be in our home!
How to:
Pre-measure and cut your fabric. Once I found a size I liked, I used the first piece as a template to make the five other curtain panels.
Lay fabric print-side down and fold each of the four sides over the hem tape, removing the back of the tape when you’re ready to seal!
Hang the fabric on clips for a finished look! I used this rod and these clips for my project.
Note: If you’re hemming heavier drapes, you might want to opt for the iron-on version of this fabric tape!
