Hi there, sweet friends! If you’ve been following along on insta lately you’ve probably seen me share a thing or two about Beautycounter. That’s because I’ve been using these high performing products for over a year now and I’m majorly impressed with the results. So impressed that I decided to sign on as a consultant and share these wonderful products with y’all!
I fought ridiculously dry skin for years. No seriously, every massage I’ve ever gotten has resulted in the masseuse encouraging me to take some serious (and costly) measures to transform my dry skin. In addition to the dry skin, I had strange discoloration on my face and weird lines. Sadly, I never had anyone to help me determine which products were the right fit for me based on my needs. That is until Beautycounter came into the picture. GAME CHANGER.
Having the opportunity to share the products I’m loving, with my readers, family, and friends is so rewarding. Coming alongside my clients to help them find the perfect products is really what it’s all about. I’ve come to enjoy organically sharing the #saferbeauty mission with anyone and everyone while simultaneously making money and having a blast. *gasp* Yes, I said “making money.” How scandalous of me. You might be surprised to hear that Beautycounter has one of the most generous compensation packages in the industry. It’s seriously impressive! In just a few short months I’ve been able to earn an income that I previously had no idea was available to me. And I honestly enjoyed every second of it.
Not only are the products HIGH quality, but they’re also safe. For real – Beautycounter has banned 1,500 harmful ingredients commonly used in other cosmetics from their products. 1,400 of these are already banned in the European Union but not the United States. These are toxic ingredients that are hormone disrupters, endocrine disruptors, and more. Ingredients known to be linked to cancer, infertility, and other health issues are allowed in our cosmetic and beauty products in the United States.
I’ve had SO many of y’all reach out to ask which products you should order first. So I’ve rounded up my top 10 products! Which might I add, was so tough to do. I’ve come to love so many products! I’m also taking a minute this morning afternoon to answer the BC related questions y’all submitted on instagram. Of course if you have any questions that I don’t answer in this post – please shoot me an email! I’d love to chat with you! mckenziefussell@gmail.com
Top 5 Skincare Products:
- Overnight Resurfacing Peel – They call this one “botox in a bottle” and I quickly learned why. My skin is glowing and looking incredibly healthy thanks to this “no peel” peel.
- Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion – This is the daily moisturizer I use. It miraculously adjusts hydration levels throughout the day to ensure your skin is getting exactly what it needs.
- Nourishing Cream Exfoliator & Cleanser – Okay this is two products but many clients use them as a combo. This is one of the first things I recommend to anyone looking to switch to safer!
- No. 3 Balancing Facial Mask – The first BC product I ever tried! Draws out extra oils and impurities. It’s such a refreshing treat! Pro tip: you can also use as spot treatment to clear impurities and even out skin tone.
- Countermatch Eye Rescue Cream – I was using the Nourishing Eye Cream but added this one to my daily routine to help with the newly developed dark spots under my eye (thanks to the wonderful gift of motherhood) and I’ve been really impressed!
Top 5 Makeup Products:
- Radiant All Over Bronzer – The most natural looking bronzer I’ve ever used! For reference, I’m currently using the dune shade.
- Color Outline Eye Pencil – A little bit goes a long way and more importantly, it stays put all day!
- Color Define Brow Pencil – Brows matter. I love how thick and polished my brows look when I use this pencil. The color is just right and it goes on smooth. This one’s also available to purchase in your flawless in 5 set.
- Sheer Lipstick – I’ve always been a bit of a lipstick connoisseur so the BC lip products were on my wishlist very early on. The rose colored lip sheer has become my new signature lipstick! It’s moisturizing and goes on smooth.
- Satin Powder Blush – I’m not a big eyeshadow person so blush is my favorite way to add a little color to my makeup routine! The Guava color is my go-to right now. I love how pigmented it is!
Reader Submitted Questions:
Where can I buy Beautycounter?
Beautycounter is sold online. You do not have to order through a consultant but it’s totally appreciated! To make a purchase through me, just shop using my link and select me as your consultant! beautycounter.com/mckenziefussell
How long have you been using these products? Are there any products that you don’t like?
I’ve been using Beautycounter products for well over a year now. I’ve been blown away by the quality of almost every product I’ve tried. The Daily Shampoo was not my favorite but I do have very thick hair and I’ve heard sometimes switching your shampoo can take your hair a while to adjust. One of the most amazing things about Beautycounter is that you have 60 days to fall in love with the products you order, if you don’t love it – send it back! Beautycounter’s return policy is unparalleled! Every order includes a pre-paid return label to make shipping easier.
How much does it cost to sign on as a consultant?
Signing on as a consultant is only $98. That fee includes your starter kit with your personalized website, back office (behind the counter) login, training, and a few products to get you started! If you’re interested as signing on as a consultant I’d LOOOOOVE to have you on my team! Shoot me an email if you’re thinking about joining. If you’re ready to take the plunge – just select me as your “mentor” when signing up.
If I sign on as consultant do I have to host parties and annoy my friends on Instagram?
You do not. With Beautycounter you control what your business looks like. I hosted a party last month to launch my business and had the best time, gained new clients and practiced sharing BC in a group setting. It was a great opportunity! But if parties (we call them socials) aren’t for you then you definitely don’t have to host any. Having one-on-one meetings/conversations with potential clients, sharing your passion for safer beauty on social media, and dropping off samples to friends and family are great ways to grow your business. You don’t have to be annoying on the internet. Instead of always trying to SELL the products focus on talking about why you love them. Let clients and sales come organically.
With a very limited budget, what products would you try first?
Totally depends on your needs! Which is why having a consultant is so helpful! If it were me (fighting an uneven skin tone and severe dryness) I would highly recommend this day cream (which is what I started with) to hydrate your dry skin. The Nourishing Cleanser and Nourishing Exfoliator are necessities for everyone in my opinion. I’d also recommend a night cream – either the Rejuvenating Night Cream or the less expensive Nourishing Night Cream. I’ve used and loved both! If you’re on a budget but ready to make the switch to safer I always recommend two things to clients. The first is to slowly transition your makeup and skincare products as you run out of what you already own. For example, if your toxic mascara is close to empty – make that your first switch. Little by little you’ll accumulate a collection of safe personal care items without breaking the bank. The second recommendation is to sign up for our Band of Beauty membership for only $29. You’ll end up saving SO MUCH MONEY with the membership perks.
Have you tried their shampoo or conditioner? How is it?
I have tried our Daily Shampoo and Daily Conditioner. I use our Daily Conditioner every time I wash my hair (which is definitely NOT daily haha) but our Daily Shampoo was not my favorite for my hair type. This shampoo is on my wishlist!
What’s the best product to get a clear, glowy and more even skin tone?
Overnight Resurfacing Peel for the win!
Thanks for popping over! I loved answering y’alls questions about Beautycounter!
