Today’s post has been a long time coming! Every time I share a photo on social media of one of my devotionals I get tons of questions about them. That makes my heart happy. I currently have three that I love and use regularly. I like them for very different reasons. Below I’ve outlined how I use them together and why I love these! As always, y’all let me know if you have any questions!
Savor
Shauna Niequist is one of my favorite teacher/speaker/writers and I SO value her honesty and vulnerability. In my opinion Savor is perfect for wives (or single gals!) who have a heart for entertaining and hospitality. Savor also highlights the importance of relationships and what it means to live in abundance. I typically read a page in Savor in the evenings or in the morning before work and I’m always encouraged by Shauna’s teachings! This is one of my favorite books to gift to sweet friends and future brides! Ps. There are a bunch of tasty recipes in this one! 🙂
Devotions from the Front Porch
In all honesty, I bought this one because I was drawn to the cover and pretty photography. Is that awful?! Once opened I learned that this little book had a lot more to offer me. I like to read this one in the morning while I’m making my coffee. I had a feeling that it would be pretty surface level teachings (like I said, I selected it because of the pretty cover!) but I was majorly impressed by how talented the author is. The simplicity of her writing and the rich pictures she paints with her words make this such a fun read! Stacy writes about the importance of slowing down, refreshing your spirit, and soothing your soul. All good things. All things I need a whole lot more of! It’s an easy read and a refreshing way to start the day!
She Reads Truth
This one is my bread and butter. I can’t say enough good things about #SheReadsTruth! She Reads Truth is all about getting women into the Word everyday and they’ve made it easy as pie to do so! The reading plans and devotionals are designed to be shared with a community of believers. Women all over the world are reading the same texts as you and discussing it online! It’s a pretty amazing community to be a part of. You can dive into #SheReadsTruth by following along on social media, starting a plan online, or downloading the app! They’ve also released a bible filled with devotionals, key verses, maps, charts, and reading plans!
Which devotionals are y’all loving lately?
