I had so much fun putting together our Margaret’s nursery! I wanted to mix things up a bit and move in a blue and green direction instead of pink. Love how it came together! She’ll supply her own pink! 😉
We started the room with things we already had like this rug, the jinny lind bookshelf that was in the girl’s old playroom and our daybed! A daybed in a nursery is an invitation for family to come help with night shifts, right? The Sister Parish shades and bolster pillow from our last primary bedroom also made an appearance! I pulled out the Lillian August floorlamp I snagged at homegoods last year and a blue and white garden stool we had from AG’s first nursery. And you bet we used the same crib with all three babies! Love that they’ve all shared it and I think we’ll have to hang onto it for the grandbabies, right?! I also had a Lulie Wallace scarf tucked away in a closet that I had been hoping to frame for years. So we started off strong with a ton of things we already owned and a pretty clear vision of where to go from there!
I found the drapes on Amazon and used the fabric for a bedskirt as well. The fabric reminded me of my favorite Danika Herrick and Sister Parish fabrics but the price point was unreal so I went for it! I did have to combine a few panels to get the right width and length needed but it was a project I didn’t mind doing. LOVE the end product!
The paint color is BM Antique Jade in high gloss. We did a “full dip” painting the trim, ceiling and walls a high gloss finish of the same color. The color makes me so happy. We used it in the laundry room at our last home and I knew I had to find somewhere to use it again.
I wasn’t impressed with the rocker we had for AG and we didn’t even have space for a rocker with Millie so this time around I did lots of research. We landed on the Namesake glider in this cute gingham performance fabric! So far, so good. I’m super impressed with how comfortable it is for the price!
Because of the space the daybed takes up we opted to stick the dresser and changing table in the closet! I’ll have to share a separate post on the closet organization!
I couldn’t find a frame large enough or a framer willing to frame the Lulie Wallace scarf so I sourced plexiglass/acrylic from Amazon and Pearce made it happen! He did have to cut the pieces a bit so make sure you’ve got the necessary tools if you attempt!
Lots of sweet days ahead in this happy room!
