Life lately… a beautiful blur of cardboard boxes, tacos + churros, good friends, tears, and happy memories. Thrilled to be blogging again and back to work after taking the week off!
^^^ We threw a fiesta themed bridal shower for one of my closest friends. It was the best, ever. Think pinatas, embroidered dresses, a TACO BAR, and the sweetest/most excited bride-to-be.
^^^ We found a new church. This is a huge deal for us! We absolutely loved our church family in Tampa, so having somewhere nearby to call home is a huge blessing. They took a historic church building (complete with stain glass windows and organs) and renovated a few things to make it a bit more modern. The people are so genuine, the preaching is encouraging + full of truth, and it’s right down the road from our new favorite biscuit joint. Don’t worry, that last part was not a deciding factor in calling this place home : )
^^^ Speaking of homes, we closed on our first! EEEEK!
^^^ I snuck away from the stresses of homeownership to swim around in the ocean with a few of my favorite girls.
^^^ I decided we needed to paint the entire house (minus the bedrooms + my office) white. The grey we selected when designing our home (you can see a bit around the trim) just wasn’t doing it for me in the main areas. So we went to town with paintbrushes in hand, I called in some amazing reinforcements to help tackle the project, and now this place is bright and airy.
^^^ I spent my first morning alone in the new house. It’s so peaceful here.
^^^ We started decorating. That little dresser will look a bit more like this one next week. Although everyone on snapchat wanted me to keep it pink, the hubs doesn’t approve of that one. Haha! Please excuse my ginormous pile of laundry. 😉
