If I could visit Anna Maria every weekend I’d be a happy girl! Bean Point is the best escape from the crowd! Enjoy the white sand + gorgeous water without all the noise! It’s perfect. Just be sure to pack some COLD water (we forgot to put ice in the cooler) and apply lots of sunscreen (water washed ours off – the poor guy above turned into a lobster!) and you’ll want to stay all day! We grabbed a few Publix subs (from the nicest Publix ever – right on the island) and made a day out of it! Unfortunately when we were heading back to our car Pearce had a little accident with a piece of driftwood buried under the sand (I’ll save you from the unpleasant details) and the police officers on the island were SO helpful getting him all fixed up!
Next time I’m bringing a float. I have my eye on this one – isn’t it precious?!
After a day at the beach we did some exploring on the North end of the island. Definitely my favorite end. It’s quiet and pretty darn cute! If you’re staying on the island you can rent a scooter, golf cart, or bike to get around town – but everything on the North end was within walking distance from the beach!
We stumbled upon this shop and I took a picture of everything inside (Pearce thinks I look like a “tourist” when I do this – but I’m okay with that). #whencanimovein?
After I took a thousand pictures and tested out ^ that couch (which I spent three hours googling the following day) we were off to find some grub! I read GREAT reviews on these: Waterfront Restaurant, Blue Marlin Grill, Beachhouse Restaurant but we ended up finding this gem and LOVED it. So. Good. Outdoor restaurants are my fave!
Until next time Anna Maria! You completely redeemed gulf coast beaches for me!
