I’ve shared this before but in case you’re new here… I love baby showers. I mean looooooove them. The friends, the food, the sweetness in every detail. One of my all time favorite get togethers! Celebrating new life and the mama-to-be just does something to me!
I’ve always enjoyed putting together little baskets for baby showers. Well, putting together baskets of any kind really. It all started back in high school when I worked at a local chocolate shop and got to put together fun gift baskets for customers. They’re fun to open and you get to pick out more than one gift! I know you type two enneagram’s out their can relate.
Since I’ve actually become a mama myself, I’ve pinched myself for some of the silly baby gifts I’ve given in the past and have since developed a new “rule” for putting together baby shower gift baskets. This way the gifts I give are a bit more practical and I know when to stop shopping. Because those who love gifting typically have a hard time stopping! ๐
My rule is simple and it’s kind of a fun way to shop. Anyone else love a good challenge?!
Now when it comes to baby gifts I select three items. Something they wear (this is usually the most fun to shop for!) something they need (typically something from their registry or that I’m 100% sure baby will use) and then something to read. Because you can absolutely never ever have enough books. And 9/10 times if the gifts aren’t too large, I’ll put everything together in the cutest reusable bin/basket I can find.
Those who love gift giving typically have a really hard time just selecting something off of the registry. Although, let’s be clear, that is always appreciated by the mama! But with my little “rule” you’re still getting to personalize the gift a bit!
A few ideas to get you started!
