Girl’s Bath Progress: Vintage Tub & Bath

I’ve always dreamed of a beadboard bathroom with a big white clawfoot tub! Do y’all remember that scene in The Notebook when Allie is in her wedding veil sitting in a clawfoot covered in bubbles?! I think that’s what sparked the dream! Haha!

When we purchased our circa 1919 home the charming upstairs bath was in the process of being renovated. Sadly we didn’t find the house in time to choose our tile but we did approve of the modern additions like a shower and a unique custom vanity 🙂 We may still swap out the tile for a pretty historic influenced hex tile one day but for now, we’re rocking the slate floors and adding girly touches everywhere else! The previous owners removed the clawfoot tub that was in the space so our first order of business was adding a vintage-style clawfoot in its place. I fell in love with this tub from Vintage Tub & Bath (c/o) and can’t get over how perfect it is in this space! I also chose a Vintage Tub & Bath telephone faucet (c/o) to coordinate with the tub. In a polished nickel finish…. SWOON! Polished Nickel is my favorite timeless hardware finish. It has more depth than chrome and patinas over time. Just stunning!

Vintage Tub & Bath has THE BEST customer service! They helped make sure I had everything I needed for a smooth install! They also helped make sure all of the coordinating parts I needed would work together! I’ll be giving shouting their praises and recommending them to all friends in the process of renovating!

Our plumbers reminded me of the two crooks from Home Alone (hahahah story for another day!) but once the tub was installed, it was all worth it. The prettiest focal point in the sweetest little girl’s bath! It looks like it’s been in the house since 1919! 🙂

Already making the sweetest memories in this tub! Bathtime with Millie and Alba Grace is my favorite! And yes, I take all of my baths in here too! Who wouldn’t!?
