So excited to be sooooo close to wrapping up our foyer project! Need to install our window grid and then we’re DONE! It’s been a labor of love creating this space out of nothing. And when I say nothing… I mean just that. This room didn’t exist when we moved in so we had our contractor build out a wall in between what was an opening from the kitchen to the front door to create a true foyer space! It’s amazing what a difference a few sheets of drywall (and some other supplies I’m sure I’d butcher the name of!) can do to cozy up an overly open floorplan. The space still flows so well but we have more walls to decorate (yay!) and we got a true formal dining out of it, which we’re actually using as a homeschool room currently!
The most exciting part of creating this space was having the perfect setup for wallpaper! I was thrilled to partner with Decorator’s Best to give the space the true glow-up it deserved. I chose the Scalamandre Ascot Print in Verdue (for those asking for the link, paper has been discontinued on DB website but I’ve seen it a few other places!) and immediately called our wallpaper guy to setup an install date! Decorator’s Best has an exceptional selection of designer wallpapers and fabrics at a great price! I’ve trained my algorithm to know exactly what I like and it’s so much fun to add samples (for projects that will probably never happen ;)) to my cart! The perfect place to start dreaming and scheming.
I went wild and pulled the blue from the adjacent playroom into this room on the trim. I adore how the green floral wallpaper pops against the BM Blue Porcelain trim! It’s a fun juxtaposition with some of the more formal details.
This room is the happiest “hello” when you come in the front door and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

Sadly everything else was an antique store find or something we’ve had forever!
