While we’ve since moved I still have a few projects to share from our last home! I *loved* our big laundry room with the giant windows so much I decided to use it as my office space too! We lovingly called it my “mom room” because I could swivel around and switch my loads in between emails and there were no kiddos allowed! ๐
We had the walls scraped and prepped for wallpaper when we moved in and also asked the painters to go ahead and paint the trim, doors, and ceiling our favorite BM Antique Jade in the highest gloss possible.
I chose Danika Herrick’s Olive Green Emma Stripe wallpaper in the peel and stick. The peel and stick is a bit pricier but you save on install and I actually enjoy hanging it! ๐ I’ve done quite a few peel and sticks over the years and SF quality is definitely the best and most forgiving!
We installed premade cabinetry (check your local hardware stores for this!) in a locker style closer to the door (not pictured) then added a hanging bar connecting it to the 4th cabinet (seen below!) for clothes that need to air dry! I loved having so much closed storage (rare in an old home!) for both office and laundry essentials like an iron and a printer! We had outlets installed inside the cabinetry (this is something I’ve done in every house because it’s just so functional!) for charging as well. Then we painted the cabinetry the same BM Antique Jade.
We never got around to adding the crown to the cabinets or ceiling but it was on the list! We also purchased fabric to make a skirt around the w/d with but could never find the time to build out a box! But wouldn’t that have been darling?!
I purchased this desk and swapped out the knobs to match the cabinetry. The little marble shelf you see my pinboard on is this one from WM! Similar here. Such a cute find. And the desk chair was a Homegoods find! Which just so happened to match the light (currently on clearance!) that I grabbed at a designers sample sale! Used my favorite Serena & Lily baskets to store wrapping paper AND all of our wifi boxes & security equipment!
Loved this little space so much and can’t wait to get started on our new laundry room!
And just for fun, here’s the before! That room came along way and so did the yard!
