outfit details: ag’s dress, millie’s bubble, ag’s shoes, millie’s shoes
The Christmas season is upon us and this year, more than ever, I want to use the season of advent to point our girls toward Jesus. While we’re not kicking Santa out, we are focusing on the real reason for the season and looking for resources that can help us do that!
Star From Afar
Instead of Elf on The Shelf (or alongside!!!) you can introduce your children to the Christmas story through this interactive nativity set and story! Each night you’ll move the star for little ones to find in the morning, leading up to Christmas eve when the star will be hung on the nativity. You’ll be able to help little ones connect the dots of the Christmas story while creating fun memories. We’re so excited to introduce this tradition to our girls this year!
Advent Countdown & Scripture Cards
Print the Fernandina Paper Co. advent countdown as a visual display to help littles countdown to Christ’s birth. Each day littles can move the marker and help you read the coordinating scripture verse! Grab your membership here to print these goodies instantly!
Christmas Books
The very best way to tell the story of the season is to read literature that points to Christ. These are a few of our favorites:

I have so many more Christmas books to share so I’ll have to pop on instagram stories one day soon to do so!
Movies That Point To Christ
I’m definitely adding lots of the movies from this list to our watchlist this season! AG is finally at the age where she’ll (most of the time) watch an entire movie. This means fun movie nights snuggled up on the sofa with hot chocolate and festive popcorn are totally happening this year!
Kid’s Advent Bible Studies
I love anything we can print at home! Teachers Pay Teachers is my go-to for children’s printables, lessons, studies, curriculum, etc! My oldest is 3 and loves a worksheet! So I’m currently browsing TPT for the perfect preschool advent study printables. I’ll report back when I find ours but you can search them all in the meantime, right here!
