Our recent trip to Beaufort, SC led us to THE best discovery. It was an overcast Saturday and the only thing on our calendar was adventure. If you know me, you know it was strategically planned adventure, on a timeline, with an itinerary of some sort. But adventure nonetheless. We were en route to one of the sights on my “must hit up” list, driving down an old Carolina road with very little traffic, lots of random BBQ restaurants, and twice as many churches, when we happened upon the Carolina Cider Co.
Naturally we had to stop and soak it all in. And of course take a billion pictures to share this amazing place with y’all. The Carolina Cider Co. just so happens to be one of our favorite souvenir shops so we were all kinds of excited to discover a store in Beaufort. In full transparency I will share with you that walking through the store elicits the same feeling I get when I listen to Willie Nelson with my boo. Pure joy. This particular location had the best selection of cutesy gifts, handmade local favorites, sweet treats, every jam + jelly flavor you can think up, and the best cider I’ve ever had! I should now confess that I’ve probably only had three varieties of cider in my lifetime. Regardless of this new evidence, this is still the best Cider I’ve ever had! 😉
Our growling bellies were stoked to discover what I exclaimed to be the “world’s cutest coffee shop” inside the store. We tried out a Chocolate Smoothie (more like a chocolate milkshake but the name makes you feel better about eating it) and it was EXCEPTIONAL. I mean exquisite. Dope (adjective meaning very good – sheesh!). Out of this world. Still think about it at least once a day kind of good.
Now I sure hope these darling photos and my tidbit about the smoothie make you want to add “stop at the Carolina Cider Co.” to your South Carolina “must-hit-up” list. It’s pretty stinkin’ fun.
