Over the weekend we took a trip to Yaya’s (my mom) in Atlanta! Pearce couldn’t get out of work on Friday so it was just the girls! On Friday we took the girls to a matinee of Disney on Ice! If $18 cotton candy and Mickey Mouse doesn’t sound like your idea of a good time, go anyways! ๐ It was such a sweet show and the girls were thrilled to see ALL of their favorite characters in one place!

Saturday we drove a little over an hour north of ATL to the cutest little mountain town, Elijay! My mom did some research on the best fall activities in the area and Hillcrest Orchards was at the top of the list. Be warned…. right next to Hillcrest Orchards you’ll find B.J. Reece orchard which must have spent $$$$$ on advertising because there were (NO JOKE!) hundreds of cars in line to enter. Yikes!!!!! Thankfully there was no line to get into Hillcrest and it checked all of our boxes. Petting zoo, train ride, tractor ride, apple orchards, line dancers, tacos, apple donuts (get them – they’re heavenly), cow milking and even mini golf! Other than getting stung by a bee out in the orchard (ouch) we had the best day and made some sweet fall memories!
Details:
It’s $15 per person (of walking age) to enter the Orchards. You’ll pay $10 for a bag to fill with apples that you pick! All of the activities inside of the orchards are included with admission.
The food was yummy and there were plenty of (unhealthy but delicious) options! We loved our steak tacos, giant lemonade and fresh apple donuts + fritters! Oh, and the apples weren’t bad either! ๐
You can pick apples until October 31!
*Not stroller friendly so you’ll want to bring along a baby carrier if you have an itty bitty one with you!
After a long day of apple picking, we stopped by the Fainting Goat vineyards for a little more goat action, beautiful views, and wine!
