Hi, friends! How are you!? I can’t believe Christmas is next week! #Crazytown.
We’ve been two very busy bees prepping for our first holiday season in the new house and first time hosting Christmas. We’re currently expecting a full house of 12 on December 25th but that number may grow a bit so we’re doing everything we can to plan for the unknown. Any and all tips are welcome! I’ve never hosted Christmas before so I’m thrilled to finally have an opportunity to bust out my red and green china, play around with a few fun new recipes, and decorate a little more than we usually would. It really is the most wonderful time of the year. Now if I can just remember to water the tree I think it’ll be a success!
Today I wanted to share two really fun things with y’all. 1. This delicious (and super simple) cranberry + champagne cocktail recipe and 2. The cutest piece of Christmas decor by my friends over at Coton Colors.
^^^ Okay, make that three things because I’m kind of obsessed with these stemless champagne flutes I scored at Target for $2.50 a pop! You can’t beat that price when you’re buying a dozen.
The Cranberry Champagne Cocktail is SO easy. I tried a practice round this week to get ready for the big event and couldn’t believe how simple and delicious these were.
Ingredients:
1 Bottle Cranberry Juice, 3-4 Limes, Champagne (or sparkling wine if that floats your boat!) and one bag of frozen cranberries.
Directions:
Chill your champagne flutes for about 30 minutes to an hour. Pour a little over an ounce of cranberry juice in each glass, top with champagne, squeeze and drop a small lime wedge in the glass, then garnish with frozen cranberries.
*My drink stirrers are sold out but these are similar and absolutely adorable!
Now let’s chat for a sec about this lovely Happy Everything plate by Coton Colors. It’s the cutest backdrop for seasonal entertaining and doubles as a sweet platter for holiday treats or hors d’oeuvres. I’ve been a huge fan of the company ever since I stumbled upon the cute designs in a local boutique, about five years ago. The Happy Everything plate is an essential, easy to accessorize and switch up from season to season. You can choose from hundreds of attachments to add to your collection. It’s also a really fun way to celebrate big and little occasions with your kiddos. Aren’t they fun?! Are y’all familiar with Coton Colors? Excuse me while I go add everything from their shop to my Christmas list…
Merry Christmas, y’all! Best wishes for an absolutely lovely holiday season!
