She’s been out as long as she was in! The second I found out I was pregnant with this amazing little person I knew I was in for a wild, wonderful ride. Motherhood has been everything I imagined it would be and so much more!

Last month she…
Started pulling up on EVERYTHING. Alba Grace has no fear! She can now go from a sitting position to full on standing in a flash. And she’s holding onto things with just one hand! She’s ready to walk and I know it’ll happen before we know it! #lookmanohands
Showed off her sassy side. We had a few days of full on sass! I’m talking throwing things from the high chair and giving me the side eye! Thankfully we seem to have moved past this… y’all pray for me! haha!
Learned to dance. She’s been doing this cute little shake motion that looks like a dance! She does it when she’s excited! The sweetest thing!
Her favorite things:
Stealing my phone, fast crawling around the house, pulling up on cabinet doors, playing with her toys (mostly the ones that make sounds), putting EVERYTHING in her mouth, playing dentist and examining mouths, staring at her hand, and discovering new things around the house! Seriously SUCH a fun age!
An update on babyproofing:
Lots of talk about babyproofing over on IG stories. I’m not in a position to share any expertise on the subject because AG is just getting into the heat of baby exploration BUT I’m not big on over-proofing. We really want to work hard to teach AG to take care of nice things, in our home and in other’s homes. I feel like we need to start teaching this now. Of course I don’t want her to get hurt so we’re taking a few safety precautions!
Baby Gate: We added this inexpensive gate to our playroom. I’m sure y’all will agree that baby gates are typically HIDEOUS and frustrating but sometimes they’re a necessary evil! With a broken foot (boooo!) I can’t chase AG around the house and protect her from anything so we added the gate to the playroom door. When I need to take care of something I can keep her contained in the playroom and still keep an eye on her. If we ever need to get a gate for the stairs, I’m buying this gem! Isn’t she lovely?!
Cabinet Locks: I put a little poll on Insta last week and almost everyone loved the magnet locks! So we purchased this set of 25. The set includes two keys that you use to unlock the cabinets.
Outlet Plugs: These were an Amazon cart add on. So cheap!

Birthday Party: First birthday party planning is underway! AG and I both have June birthdays. I feel like it rained on my birthday every year growing up! Hopefully that won’t be the case for Alba Grace because I’ve got a fun outdoor party planned. It’s super trendy now to keep baby birthday parties minimal but that’s just not my style. I can’t wait to pull out all the tricks and celebrate our sweetest blessing!
Baby Friends: AG has so many little girlfriends around her age! I’m so excited for her to reach an age where she actually enjoys playing with her gal pals! So much fun to be had.
Beach Days: I plan to start living at the beach in a couple of months! It’s my favorite place and I sure hope little lady will enjoy it too. Y’all send me your best tips for helping baby fall in love with the beach!
