My darling girl is an 8 month old! *almost* I’m actually writing this post EARLY for the first time in monthly update history! Giving myself a big ole’ pat on the back, y’all! Little miss is getting a bit harder to photograph these days because sitting still is not a top priority! I’m amazed by how quickly she’s taken to crawling and pulling up! She’ll be walking before we know it. Cray cray.
Outfit is Cecil & Lou! One of our absolute favorite children’s shops!
Last Month She…
Had her ears pierced! I can’t remember if this actually went down in December or January so I’m dropping it here. I was pretty nervous but she did so well! A couple minutes of tears and then she was happy as a clam! I held her while the jeweler did her thing. I had lots of questions about where we went and if I thought 7 months was a good age to have her ears pierce. We were recommended to have them pierced at Claire’s – which surprised me but SO MANY friends raved about it. So that’s where we ended up and I do think they did a great job. I know many pediatricians offer the service but ours does not. And yes, I think 5-7 months is PERFECT timing! She hasn’t touched her ears once!
Started scaling furniture. She’s pulling up on and then doing her very best to walk around sofas, chairs, and her crib!
Did a lot of talking. She’s saying daddy and dada, yayayaya, and lots of other cute babbles! No momma yet, but you best believe we’re working on it! She likes to be heard.
Started roaming around in her walker. Her geesh (Pearce’s mom) bought a walker for their house and she finally started showing interest in it. I ended up finding one for our house too (gotta love FB marketplace!)
Things I’m Looking Forward To…
First Birthday. I know we’ve got quite some time before the big event but I am so excited to celebrate our baby girl in June! I’m 99% sure I’ve decided on a theme! I’ve also dreamed up the perfect first birthday gift and can’t wait to bring that vision to life!
Easter. I don’t think it’s socially acceptable to bust out the bunny’s prior to Valentine’s Day but you best believe February 15th will be the start of the Easter season around here! I can’t wait. I can’t wait. I can’t wait.
New TBBC . We just placed a TBBC order and I’m literally stalking the mailman in hopes of trying on spring goodies!
Family Photos. We have a couple of photoshoots in our near future. I’m pumped to have some updated family pics to hang around the house. It’s wild how much babies change in the first year!
Products We’re Loving…
Baby Book. I’m finally reopening the pages of AG’s baby book to pen her story. These monthly blog posts have helped me keep track of so many milestones! Mama’s, try your best to stay on top of the baby books! Makes it so much easier. We use this gorgeous book! It worked with Emily while this book was being designed and dreamed about the day I’d get to use it for my own little one! So much sweetness. You can purchase separate page packs to add!
Bathtub. We just learned that AG’s infant bathtub converts into a design that allows her to sit up! You can’t beat $24! We have been so pleased.
Beautycounter Baby. We watched the Stink documentary last night and I was reminded of how thankful I am for Beautycounter baby + kids products! What goes on and in my baby’s body is a big deal! BC is transparent about ingredients used AND the products are high performing!
love y’all, mckenzie
