Kiddos are my favorite to shop for during the holidays! If you hit a gift out of the park, their facial expression will tell you! ๐ Most kids have way too many toys, so I love choosing non-toy/super functional gifts or a thoughtful toy that they can really use their imagination with! Experience gifts are also a great idea for the kid who has everything! My friend, Sarah wrote an awesome list of experience gift ideas worth checking out!
One. Initial Cap – These simple initial ball caps are as cute as can be! Perfect for boys and girls of all ages! The Etsy shop that makes these also sells these adorable vintage wool pullovers that I can’t get enough of!
Two. Write The Word Journal – This is the kids edition of one of my favorite journals, specifically dedicated to learning the fruits of the Spirit. It’s a great way to foster a love of the Word early on in a child’s life! It even comes with stickers which is always a win in my book! ๐
Three. Cuddle & Kind Dolls – Alba Grace has Charlotte the dog and can’t get enough of her! Sebastian the Lamb is such a sweet option for little boys! Cuddle and Kind gives 10 meals to children in need with the purchase of every doll which I love love love! C&K also offers a forever guarantee so if there’s an issue with your doll they’ll gladly replace it! The dolls are heirloom quality and ours has held up extraordinarily well based on how often she is cuddled!
Four. Wooden Unit Blocks – As a retired preschool teacher, I’m a big fan of unit blocks for kids of all ages. They’re considered an “open toy” meaning that children can use their imagination and play with them in so many different ways! I asked the grands for these this year and am confident that AG will enjoy playing with them year after year!
Five. Personalized Sweater. A Grace & James personalized football or name sweater is a darling gift idea for the kid who has too many toys! The extra thought of personalizing the sweater with a favorite football team or the child’s name will be well received!
Six. Dyson Toy Vacuum. This is not a drill! Dyson has created a WORKING toy vacuum that will help pick up small particles around the house! AG is cleaning obsessed so I know this will go over well in the Fussell house! Mama’s everywhere will be thankful for a toy that actually helps clean the house instead of making a bigger mess!
Seven. Caterpillar Xylophone. This is one of Alba Grace’s favorite toys! Infant and toddler years are the best time to introduce littles to music and at just $11 this cute Xylophone is a fabulous first instrument! I love hearing AG in her playroom whacking away at this thing.
Eight. Jenga. It’s so thoughtful to pick out a gift that the entire family can enjoy! Jenga is a classic for adults and kiddos alike. At under $7 this would be a great gift for families in your neighborhood or friends from school!
Nine. Lulie Wallace Quilt. One of my favorite artists, Lulie Wallace designed four of the most beautiful quilts using her pretty textiles. A beautiful quilt that can be passed down from generation to generation would be a lovely gift for infants, toddlers and expectant mothers.
Ten. Diverse Baby Dolls. This basket of babies is available on Amazon prime! I love the diverse hair and skin colors, helpful in promoting inclusivity among children. This one gets major bonus points because the dolls are washable!!!!!
Stocking Stuffers
Flashcards – These are so much cuter than the flashcards I grew up with! With several different sets available you’re sure to find something special for every child on your list! Trust me, the child’s parents will appreciate the thought you put into choosing an educational gift that doesn’t take up to much space… or make noise! Ha. These can easily be clipped to a car seat or tossed in a diaper bag.
Kids Bath Products – Kiddos will love the colorful containers and something new to squirt in the tub. Moms will love that Beautycounter products are a muuuuuch safer alternative than store-bought bath products!
Water Coloring Pads – Mess-free coloring perfect for the busy bag, traveling, or restaurants!
Wikki Sticks – These were my favorite as a kid! Another activity that’s easy to transport and fun for kids to use their imagination with.
