Anxious or worried? Been there. Fearful about what the future might hold? Done that. When life gets cray-cray (let’s be real, it gets that way from time-to-time), I find that scripture is the absolute best medicine. There’s no problem Jesus can’t fix and hasn’t already paid for. So grab an index card or pull up the notes app on your iPhone to jot them down. Hide these in your heart.
- “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:2
- “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change and the mountains slip into the heart of the ocean.” Psalm 46:2-3
- “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” Matthew 6:26
- “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phillipians 4:6-7
- “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14
- “Though the mountains may crumble, you will not.” Isaiah 54:10
- “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
- “Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!” Luke 1:45
- “And he will be our peace…” Micah 5:5
- “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
