Raise your hand if getting dinner on the table every night is NOT your forte!! Trust me, mine is raised.
I’m sure by now y’all have heard all about the goodness that is HelloFresh or at least the boxed meal delivery concept. I heard about the service for the first time a few years ago and made a mental note to try it out once we had kiddos. Well, with me no longer working from home and Pearce’s already crazy schedule, we decided to go ahead and give it a shot. #WifeyOfTheYear
What’s the verdict? It’s life changing. Sounds dramatic but seriously, I haven’t felt so prepared and on top of things in a long time! Pearce and I enjoyed three tasty meals together AT HOME this week and the best part was that we didn’t have to spend hours preparing said meals or meandering through grocery store aisles to figure out what to make. It’s a miracle.
Monday afternoon we had our first box delivered which included three well portioned meals for two. Our food was fresh upon arrival thanks to the well thought out packaging. 2 of the 3 meals were absolutely delicious! I’ll be honest the third meal wasn’t my favorite but it was definitely better than frozen pizza and still fun to make! ๐
Meals we tried this week:
Sliced Steak Tagliata (my fave!)
Shrimp & Asparagus Risoto (least fave)
Chicken Pineapple Party Tacos (SO good!)
Ps. I’ll be sharing each meal we make on Instagram stories if you want to follow along and get a better idea of menu options!
At first I thought the price point was a little high but once I realized how much money we were wasting at the grocery store overbuying ingredients, the price of HelloFresh (about $9.99 per person, per meal) sounded a lot better! The meals are delivered to your house each week (free delivery!), meaning there’s no trip to the grocery store which saves a lot of time and stress.
Overall the food is tasty, fresh, and easy to prepare. The recipe for each meal is written out in a simple to follow format which made me feel like a pro-chef. Best feeling ever.
A few other pros: you can skip meals if necessary, deliveries can be scheduled in advance, there are seven meal options to choose from each week, and you’ll get a few freebie boxes to send to your friends!
So if you too have been struggling with getting meals on the table on busy weeknights, I highly suggest you give HF or another meal delivery service a try! We’ll be hellofreshing it up from here on out! If y’all want to try it out, you can get $40 off your first box using my code!
*this post was not sponsored, however I will receive a referral credit if you use my code! So thank you in advance! ๐
