Thanks so much to my friends at Spoonflower for sponsoring this post!
Popping in for a little nursery update! Since we last checked in a lot of work has been done. We installed the chandelier, put together a crib, hung up all of baby girl’s art and then we checked off the biggest task of all… wallpaper installation!
I’m thrilled to be working with the kind folks over at Spoonflower to bring my nursery vision to life. I’ve always been a huge fan of wallpaper so I knew right away that we needed at least an accent wall in Alba Grace’s room. Spoonflower has plenty of pattern options so you’re sure to find something that’ll make you smile! I knew I wanted something in the blue and white family, which helped narrow down the search. I ordered about 5 samples, taped them to the walls, and thought it over for a few days. This peony chinoiserie pattern was a little bolder than I thought I’d go, but I love how it turned out! I seriously can’t get over how pretty and feminine it is.
Now I’ll be honest, we were pretty nervous to install the paper ourselves (Pearce and I will be the first to admit that we’re not the craftiest couple on the block) but Spoonflower makes it incredibly easy with their simple tutorials. We used the woven peel and stick (no water or paste necessary) and the entire installation took us about three hours. Not too shabby! The woven texture is stunning and I hear it’ll hold up much better than lesser quality peel & stick papers.
Pro tip: be sure to use the coverage calculator to determine exactly how many rolls you’ll need!
It’s been so much fun to see little lady’s space come together! Maybe next time I share a progress report we’ll have a crib mattress. Baby steps, right?!
love y’all, mckenzie
