Have y’all ever been in a decorating rut? You know… when you just can’t pull it all together and aren’t quite sure if you should start over or keep heading toward completion?! I’ve been struuuugling in my dining room.
The space felt extra drab last month despite my efforts to improve it but I couldn’t quite put my finger on what the missing piece was. And THEN the kind folks at Fab Habitat reached out and offered to send me one of their gorgeous jute rugs. Praise the Lord. Of course my pitiful dining room was the perfect place for the new addition.
The Canyon Jute Rug took the room took a whole. notha. level. y’all. It feels SO much cozier now but still flows with the clean coastal vibe of our home. The rug quality is fantastic! I think this guy will be with us for the long haul. If you’re not familiar with jute, allow me to give you the down low. It’s a sustainable material (natural resource) that’s soft and strong. It’s similar to wool but not itchy! I adore the colors in this one! Just the right amount of white! Yay!
Eventually I’d love to trade in these chairs for something a bit comfier and splurge on nicer window treatments but not anytime soon. I’d also like to add a couple (read: a dozen) more plates to my wall, get creative with a new centerpiece, and switch out the mirror for a larger piece of art. Oh, and add a new fiddle fig to my growing (ehhhh, more like dying) fiddle fig family.
