Yesterday we drove over to an early ultrasound studio in Jacksonville to find out if #SweetBabyFuss was a sweet little boy or girl. Going into the event EVERYONE was telling us they thought we’d have a girl. I had originally thought it would be a boy (and  so did Pearce) because we’ve always talked about having a boy first. But then I had not one, not two, but THREE dreams about the baby being a girl and I had horrible morning sickness my entire first trimester (and into the 2nd trimester) so I thought it might actually be a girl. Then two days ago I decided to switch back to #TeamBoy thinking that I should go with my original gut feeling. Pearce and I walked into the appointment expecting to see a certain body part that was nowhere to be found. The technician fumbled around for all of two minutes and then just like that… she confirmed that we would be welcoming a little girl in June.

A girl! I immediately felt so much more connected to the baby. We knew her name now. We could decorate her nursery. We knew who would be joining us in June. It was surreal. The duration of the ultrasound was spent crying (happy tears, y’all!) and processing all that was happening. Our guesses were wrong, but God was so right in giving us a baby girl. We’re  so excited to meet her.

My parents, Pearce’s parents, my little brother, and my grandparents were there with us to see IT’S A GIRL pop up on the screen. We had originally wanted to have a big gender reveal party but I love how things ended up! It was so special to invite loved ones to join us for the big reveal and the intimate setting for the big announcement was just perfect. If you’re local, check out Sneak Peek in Riverside! They have a viewing room (aka party room) connected to the ultrasound room, with a big TV screen that shows your family and friends the entire appointment. Because the two rooms connect, they get to hear everything the ultrasound tech says. We were so pleased with the experience! We even got a DVD to take home. This is 2018 people…

Now I know a lot of y’all clicked over to this page for one reason. To find out baby girl’s name! We’ve had this name picked out for a looooong time so it’s definitely surreal to type it here.
