Making a house into a home is no easy task – there’s a lot that goes into it! So many sweet readers have requested a home tour so I thought I’d take it room by room as we transform each space. I don’t think I’ll ever feel like a room is completely “finished” but I’m thrilled with the progress we’ve made in our living room. It’s one of our most used spaces. I love how our kitchen opens right up to the living room, creating an awesome entertaining space! The house feels most like home when we’re hosting friends and family. Can’t wait for the soirées to come.
You can read all about the planning phase for this space in this post.
I may eventually add some antique end tables or purchase these, but for AG’s first year, I think the lucite nesting tables are perfect. I might also switch out the blinds for a pretty roman shade or we’ll invest in plantation shutters for this room. So far my bamboo shade attempts have been a flop. I’ve always been a sucker for pretty plantation shutters. How do y’all feel about them? We kept the coffee table styling minimal, anticipating a little lady who may use my decor as teething toys! I’m sure we’ll need to further babyproof, (looking at you, sharp corners) but we’re starting to think like parents so it’s a step! 😉
I love how light and airy the room turned out. I so wish y’all could all come over for a cheese night! How fun would that be?!
I’ve linked sources for everything that’s shoppable at the bottom of this post. If you’re not seeing the link to an item you love, it’s probably an antique store find.
