If the post title didn’t make you start singing then I’m not sure we can be friends. Kidding, kinda. In all seriousness this might just be my favorite post ever. I’ve waited a looong time to share any wedding photos on the blog because I thought it would be extra sweet to wait a bit and post them today, on our second anniversary.
May 26, 2014 was, no doubt about it, the best day of my life. It was everything I’d ever dreamed of and SO much more. I have the hardest time putting my feelings into words but I’ll give it a shot. Pure joy. Pure bliss. Pure happiness. I started boo-hooing the moment my “walk down the aisle” song played and as I walked toward Pearce and saw him smiling at me through a mess of tears, I absolutely lost it. This was it.
Everything didn’t go as planned but it was perfectly imperfect in the most beautiful way. The weeks leading up to the wedding I was so worried about all of the details (I’ll admit I may have had a bridezilla moment or two) but it all just kind of fell into place. Of course, it wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing village. We had quite the support team and it seemed like everyone we knew played a little part in making the big day special. We’re both so thankful for that.
Want to read a bit more about our big day? We were honored to have our wedding featured in Amelia Island Weddings last year. You can read the full story online, here!
Happy Anniversary my darling man. Marriage is hard, it’s fun, it’s a lot of work, it’s the easiest thing I’ve ever done, and it’s my favorite! Wouldn’t want to spend my days with anyone else.
